Directions:
1) Using Padlet (web based pin board) create a Lesson Board of different objects students should find and measure inside the classroom. Click here for an example. (http://padlet.com/wall/measurementlesson)
2) Create a QR code (www.qrstuff.com) that can be printed and placed on the wall for students to scan to access the Padlet Lesson Board.
3) Students will work in groups to find the different objects they need to measure and record their measurement by placing their ruler beside the object and taking a photo using the built in camera app. Skitch can be used to annotate the photo and uploaded onto Padlet. Students will now post their responses along with their name on Padlet.
4) After completion of the teacher given examples, the students will be asked to find different objects to measure and place them into the different categories (ie. less than 10 cm, between 10-30 cm, and more than 30 cm.)
5) Students will also be asked to verify their peer's measurements.
